Honey, Pear Crostini with Goat Cheese

I haven’t eaten a pear in so long, I wasn’t sure what to do with it, so I just started slicing. I think I had the idea that it was going to be gritty for some reason, but it wasn’t at all, it was soft and incredibly sweet.Combined with the goat cheese and sweet honey, it was a perfect snack!

  • Heat oven to 400 degrees. Slice some fresh sourdough, drizzle the slices with olive oil, then toast them for about 3 minutes.
  • Remove from oven and let them cool for a minute.
  • Spread a generous amount of goat cheese and place a few red pear slices on each toast.
  • Next, drizzle with honey, sprinkle with red pepper flakes and just a light dusting of ginger powder.
  • Place back in the oven for 2-3 minutes or till the cheese gets warm.

Taaduh! You have an easy, delicious, healthy-ish appetizer or snack your friends and family will love!

This sounds too good to be true for a goat's cheese lover like me.

Our local pizzeria makes a Honey and goat's cheese pizza, but it never occured to me that I could try a similar thing at home with fruits and toast.

thanks for a great idea!

Ohhhh that sounds lovely, lunch sorted for me tomorrow. I love crostini, all the bars near me put them out as free snacks in the early evening. Great way to start your evening meal.
